Nice spot near Blenheim
Had a decent stay here. The food was on point, especially the breakfast! Super close to Blenheim Palace which was a big plus for us. Room was comfy and just what we needed. Only thing that was a bummer was the mixed grill. it was greasy instead of grilled. But everything else was solid.

Cleanliness and hygiene standards, Large car park, Historic charm of the building
Tired and shabby rooms that could use significant updates!!! Noise from the kitchen area disrupted my stay and resulted in discomfort. A little more focus on room maintenance and attention to these details could really enhance the experience!!!

I recently stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved the amazing Indian buttered chicken for dinner, and the room was newly refurbished and very clean. I would definitely return for more delicious meals!

Had a great time with friends! The location is perfect for countryside walks along the canal path and is near Blenheim Palace and other scenic areas. The restaurant was a highlight with its tasty Indian cuisine and friendly staff. Breakfast was also top-notch! Highly recommend a stay and don’t miss the food here!
The only downside was that there was no refrigerator in the room, which would have been nice to have for drinks or snacks.

missingWrote a review on Jun 24tasty breakfastgarden settingcharming groundsnoisy guests
Tasty breakfast options left us well-fed, especially with all the choices available. The grounds offer a charming garden setting perfect for relaxing with a drink, despite the close proximity to the main road.
The room felt cramped due to an overload of furniture, limiting space to move around comfortably. Noise from upstairs guests early in the morning disrupted our sleep, raising questions about the soundproofing between floors. Experiencing the bar's closing hours unexpectedly being enforced left us disappointed, as we planned to unwind there after a long day.

The food at Sturdy's Castle impressed me greatly. I had a delicious Biryani that really hit the spot. Staff friendliness stood out too. they were attentive and polite throughout my visit. The room I stayed in was clean with good bathroom facilities, though the bathroom could use some updating. Some noise from the kitchen area disrupted the early evening quiet. A couple of minor issues popped up, like limited hangers and storage space. The location is convenient for visiting nearby Blenheim Palace, which was a highlight. I felt the price point for meals was a tad high. prices seemed just over what I expected for a pub meal. All these factors made for a mixed experience, but the overall ambiance kept me coming back for more.

Welcoming and friendly staff made the stay feel special. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, good TV options, and ample refreshments. Breakfast was particularly impressive, with generous portions and quality food. the mixed grill during dinner was overly greasy, and the buffet could benefit from a wider selection. Though conveniently located for local attractions, enhancing the dining choices would elevate the experience further.
